Public Liability Insurance

£10 Million Public & Products Liability Insurance

At Funday Entertainment Ltd, safety, professionalism and customer confidence are at the heart of everything we do.

When you hire entertainment equipment or activities for an event, it is important to know that the company supplying and operating that equipment has appropriate insurance cover in place.

Funday Entertainment Ltd maintains £10 million Public and Products Liability insurance, providing important protection in connection with our business activities as an operator and hirer of leisure equipment and entertainment activities.

Our insurance is an important part of our wider health and safety management system and works alongside our risk assessments, equipment inspections, staff training and operational procedures.

What Does Public Liability Insurance Mean?

Public Liability Insurance provides protection in circumstances where Funday may become legally liable for injury to a member of the public or damage to third-party property arising from our business activities, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions and limits of the policy.

This is particularly important when providing entertainment at:

  • Schools and colleges
  • Local authority venues
  • Corporate events
  • Public events
  • Festivals
  • Community events
  • Hotels and conference centres
  • Exhibition centres
  • Sports venues
  • Private functions
  • Weddings and celebrations
  • Military and MOD locations
  • Outdoor events
  • Indoor venues

Our £10 million level of cover is designed to meet the insurance requirements commonly requested by major venues and professional event organisers.

£10 Million Cover

Funday Entertainment Ltd currently provides £10 million of Public and Products Liability insurance.

This provides a substantial level of liability protection for the activities undertaken as part of our insured business, subject to the full terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

Our insurance arrangements also include Employers' Liability cover, providing protection in relation to our employees where required by law and subject to the policy terms.

For the most accurate and current information, customers should always refer to the current insurance certificate or confirmation of cover rather than relying solely on information contained on this webpage.

Why Insurance Matters

Many professional venues and organisations require suppliers to provide evidence of suitable insurance before they are permitted to operate on site.

This can include:

Schools & Educational Establishments

Schools and education providers frequently require contractors and entertainment companies to demonstrate appropriate Public Liability Insurance before attending their premises.

Local Authorities

Councils and local authorities may have specific minimum insurance requirements for suppliers working on council-owned or controlled premises.

Corporate Events

Corporate organisations often require evidence of insurance as part of their supplier approval and event risk-management procedures.

Public Events

Large public events, festivals and community events may require suppliers to provide insurance documentation before equipment can be installed or operated.

Venues & Event Spaces

Hotels, conference centres, exhibition venues, racecourses and other commercial venues may request an up-to-date insurance certificate as part of their booking or contractor approval process.

Your Event Documentation

We understand that organising an event often involves providing documentation to several different people.

This may include your:

  • Health & Safety Manager
  • Event Manager
  • Venue Manager
  • Facilities Manager
  • Procurement Department
  • Local Authority
  • School Business Manager
  • Corporate Risk Manager
  • Insurance Department
  • Event Safety Officer

We therefore make our relevant safety documentation available to customers wherever appropriate.

Our documentation can include:

  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Risk Assessments
  • Method Statements
  • Health & Safety Policy
  • Equipment Safety Certificates
  • PAT Testing Records
  • Staff Training Information
  • Relevant Equipment Inspection Documentation
  • Other supporting safety information where applicable

Our safety documentation page provides access to the documents available for customers and event organisers.

Need a Copy of Our Insurance Certificate?

If your venue or organisation requires evidence of insurance, please let us know when making your booking or enquiry.

We can provide the relevant current insurance documentation for your event where appropriate.

We recommend providing your venue or Health & Safety Department with the current certificate of insurance, rather than relying on an old certificate or a previous year's documentation.

Insurance certificates relate to specific periods of cover, so customers should always request the current documentation when required.

Insurance & Risk Assessments

Insurance is only one part of responsible event management.

At Funday Entertainment Ltd, we recognise that appropriate insurance should work alongside effective risk management.

Before equipment is supplied or operated, relevant hazards may be considered through our risk assessment and operational procedures.

Depending on the activity, these may consider issues such as:

  • Equipment operation
  • User behaviour
  • Age and ability of participants
  • Supervision
  • Manual handling
  • Slips, trips and falls
  • Electrical safety
  • Weather conditions
  • Site conditions
  • Equipment positioning
  • Public access
  • Emergency procedures
  • Staff competence
  • Equipment inspection and maintenance

This approach helps ensure that insurance and practical safety management work together rather than being treated as separate issues.

Professional Event Safety

Funday Entertainment Ltd supplies a wide range of entertainment equipment and activities across the UK, from games and inflatables to interactive attractions and specialist entertainment.

Our equipment is used at events ranging from private celebrations to large corporate and public events. We therefore understand the importance of providing documentation that can be reviewed by professional event and health & safety teams.

We aim to make the process straightforward for our customers by providing the information they need before their event.

For Schools, Councils & Corporate Customers

If you are booking Funday Entertainment Ltd on behalf of a school, local authority, company, charity or other organisation, we recommend contacting us as early as possible if your organisation has specific documentation requirements.

Please tell us if you require:

  • A current insurance certificate
  • Risk assessments for specific activities
  • Method statements
  • Equipment certificates
  • PAT testing documentation
  • Health & Safety information
  • Staff competency information
  • Additional event safety documentation

We will work with you to provide the relevant documentation wherever it is applicable to the equipment and service being supplied.
